 CAMPING

Hesperia Lake is open for camping throughout the year. Winter months and the holidays are a perfect time of year to take the family camping. Open spaces and cold clear air; make a perfect setting for spending quality time with the family. A variety of sites are available at Hesperia Lake to accommodate RV’s and tent campers. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. RV sites will accommodate a vehicle up to 40 feet in length. Electricity and water is available in selected sites. Restrooms and showers are available at no extra charge. Potable water is located throughout the campground. Camping fees start at $35.00 per night. Reservations are accepted for individual campsites with a 2 night minimum. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. Checkout is at 12:00 p.m. Fishing is an additional fee.


 WINTER FISHING

The lake is well-stock with Sturgen, Trout and Catfish

Tired of spending so much time inside in the winter? Grab your coat and some hot chocolate and spend the day trout fishing at Hesperia Lake. The Lake offers two sessions daily; 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the day fishing session and 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. for the night fishing session. Hesperia Lake is closed on Christmas Day, all other holidays, the Lake is open for the day fishing session only from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No state fishing license is required. Hesperia Lake is a pay-to-fish lake. Adults pay $15.00 per session and have a five (5) fish limit. Seniors who are residents of Hesperia, can fish Wednesday and Thursday, excluding holidays, for only $12.00 and still catch five (5) fish. Children 10 years and younger can pay the adult rate and catch five (5) fish or pay the child’s rate of $4.00 and catch two (2) fish. Hesperia Lake is stocked every week. Trout are stocked October through April.


 SENIOR FISHING

Hesperia Lake has special days for seniors 55 and over. Every Wednesday and Thursday, excluding holidays, seniors who live within Hesperia Recreation and Park District boundaries can take advantage of a senior discount. Resident seniors can fish for only $12.00 on these days and still catch five (5) fish.


 PICNICS

Hesperia Lake Park is open all year. Winter can be a wonderful time to have a picnic with family and friends. Fresh air and food cooked on the barbecue is a fun way to chase away those winter blues. Individual picnic tables are available throughout the park. Patrons may bring their own propane barbecues. Group sites are available for a reasonable fee and reservations need to be made in advance. Groups of 25 or more people must have reservations.


 STORE

The store at Hesperia Lake Park is open every day of the year except Christmas Day to serve the needs of anglers, campers and picnickers. Anyone wishing to fish or camp must first register at the Lake Store. The store is well stocked with an ample supply of bait and tackle, as well as a variety of camping supplies, drinks and snacks. Store hours vary throughout the fall and winter, call the Lake store at (760) 244-5951 for current hours.


 NONRESIDENT DAY USE FEE

From April to October, Hesperia Lake Park on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays will charge residents who are not within the Hesperia Recreation and Park District boundaries, a day use entry fee of $2.00 per adult and $1.00 per child, 10 years and under, nonwalking infants are free.


 HESPERIA LAKE EQUISTRIAN CAMP

Hesperia Lake Equestrian Camp is available on a first come first serve basis. Overnight camping fee is $10.00 per rig, with 1 corral. If additional corrals are needed they can be rented for $8.00. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. Checkout is at 12:00 p.m. Groups of five or more rigs require reservations and there is a minimum fee of $50.00.
