What do you get when you mix an artist, designer, recreation manager, recreation coordinator, general manager and a few directors from the SB County Arts Connection? An EPIC Mural. The Hesperia Recreation and Park District is working with the Arts Council of San Bernardino to create a mural for the teen center here in Hesperia. Recreation Manager, Sarah Hauser and Recreation Coordinator Juan Ramos recently hosted a tour of the multi-purpose facility that hosts the winter and summer basketball programs, the senior quilting guild, the Rockin’ Our Disabilities, basketball training camp and open center for teenagers after school and on the weekends. While the project is still in the planning stages, we are hoping to host an event for the community to join in on the mural painting process. We will post more information as the project materializes.
